QATAR Airways Lounge
In this project, completed as part of my college coursework, I designed an airport lounge for Qatar Airways. This design integrates the airline's distinctive identity with a modern aesthetic, prioritizing functionality while embodying a progressive approach to air travel.
Design Concept: The lounge is divided into four distinct zones, each catering to the diverse needs of travelers:
Restaurant: Offering a taste of Qatari and international cuisine.
Lounge: A social space characterized by comfort.
Business Area: Featuring private offices and conference rooms.
Sleeping Area: Private bedrooms provide a space for travelers awaiting their flights.
Key Features:
Movement: Inspired by the essence of travel, the design embraces fluidity and organic shapes. This concept is echoed in various elements, creating a sense of motion and dynamism.
Burgundy: The incorporation of Qatar Airways' signature burgundy color throughout the lounge.
Software Used:
Sketchup: Utilized for 3D modeling and visualization, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of spatial arrangements.
Rhino 3D: Utilized for modeling complex, organic shapes that define the unique architectural elements of the lounge.
Enscape: Applied to create realistic visualizations.
AutoCAD: Employed for precise architectural drafting and planning.
Adobe Photoshop and Indesign: Used for refining visual presentations and creating a cohesive project narrative.
