Schematic Lighting Design Package
For this project, completed as part of my college coursework, I created a comprehensive Schematic Lighting Design Package for a sushi restaurant. The objective was to articulate a clear and cohesive lighting concept, ensuring compliance with the 2018 Seattle energy code standards.
Design Concept: In developing the lighting concept, I aimed to enhance the ambiance of the sushi restaurant by carefully selecting light fixtures that complemented its unique theme. The concept focused on creating an inviting and intimate dining experience, with strategic lighting to highlight key design elements and provide optimal visibility.
Key Features:
Fixture Selection: Every light fixture was chosen to align with the restaurant's ambiance and theme.
Schematic Lighting Cutsheet Package: A detailed documentation package was created for each light fixture, providing essential information such as dimensions, finish, color temperature, CRI, and wattage.
Code Compliance Calculations: Code compliance calculations were conducted to ensure that the total wattage adhered to the 2018 Seattle energy code standards.
Software Used:
Bluebeam: Used as the primary software for creating layouts, presentation files, and detail drawings.
Microsoft Excel: Utilized for creating detailed tables and organizing information.
Adobe Photoshop: Applied for crafting the glow plans.
